Perfect partnership between Post Office and WH Smith helping to sustain our high street. Now all the banks have scuttled away, the Post Office will handle your counter needs.

I have just been into Harpenden Post Office/ WH Smith. I wanted to collect a parcel that should have been delivered to my home. The woman behind the counter asked for ID. I had left the house in a hurry and I had forgotten to bring some. I showed her my bank card but I had forgotten that it had my maiden name on it and the parcel had my married name. The woman was so rude and patronising I was quite shocked. When I asked her to stop being so rude and patronising, since I was dealing with a bereavement and wasn’t quite on the ball, she just shrugged and said,”I’m sorry you feel that way,” She was so rude and bad mannered. No condolences and really did not give a xxxxxx. Not what I would expect from Royal Mail staff and I live in London. Very aggressive and rough. I’d fire her if she worked for me. She needs training. Short hair, glasses and over weight. Avoid

WHS Harpenden, great little store for stationery, a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. I personally like the post office there, staff are pleasant and helpful. Parking is free too if you can find a space.

A good staioners, you usually can find everything you want for school or office. Some items seem over priced but that's my personal opinion.

The shop is good although narrow and deep. Staff are helpful and there is a good selection of stationery. There is now a Post Office at the back which has improved over the months.

Bit squashed with people queuing by the door for the wh Smith tills and then queuing for the post office at the other end. Can sometimes be a slalom when you've got a pushchair, and if you meet another coming in the opposite direction it's nigh on impossible to pass.

Well stocked. Post office always incredibly slow. Amazon usually cheaper.

It has the post office which is open for a few hours on Sunday. Saved me trying to post a parcel during work time

The staff are always really helpful when I have a question to ask. While some stuff is overpriced a lot of things are actually very reasonably priced. I don't find myself in here too often but it's always good to know it's there when you need it. The only minor gripe is that they sell drinks, chocolate and sandwiches but not crisps. This seems odd to me.

Very disappointed. Not with the service but ... I needed a printer cartridge. The offer is buy 1 get 1 half price. They only had one so because I couldn't have the deal I was offered 10% off. So instead of 2 cartridges for £52.48 I had 1 cartridge for £31. 49! Not the best deal and not happy about it. There seemed to be no way that I could access the 2nd part of the deal at a later date.
